Summer Berry, Banana & Avocado Smoothie
This glass of deliciousness is a brilliant way to make the most of summer berries and avocados. Topped with toasted nuts and seeds and a dollop of super thick yoghurt such as Greek natural yoghurt, coconut yoghurt or Puhoi Valley Divine Berries, it's a great way to start your day!
1 banana, sliced into rounds and frozen
1/4 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
1/4 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)
1/3 avocado
1/2 cup almond milk (or cow or soy milk) - add extra milk if you don't want it as thick
1 large handful of kale leaves, washed and torn into smaller pieces
1 tsp cinnamon
To serve:
Toasted nuts and seeds
Dollop of thick yoghurt (optional)
Vanilla powder (optional)
Place all of the ingredients into a high-powered blender or Nutri-bullet and blend until thick and creamy. You may have to stop the blender and scrape everything down a few times during the process.
Serve topped with some toasted nuts and seeds and creamy yoghurt.
