World Iron Awareness Week 2022



“Is low iron holding you back?”


This year, World Iron Awareness Week runs from the 22nd - 28th of August. This campaign offers the opportunity to shine a light on this important nutrient as well as highlighting common signs of deficiency and what you can do to ensure you have enough iron in your diet.


Iron deficiency is the most common nutrient deficiency worldwide, and can present as fatigue, low energy, feeling the cold easily, and an inability to concentrate among a number of other signs and symptoms

This year, Massey University are putting on two public webinars focusing on iron for younger and older adults.
